This is a small extension that helps generate a download list for FlashGot.
Heres what it does. It adds a link to the “Par Viewer” called “FlashGot linklist”:

Pardon the ugly colors.. I hate white backgrounds.
Clicking this link, pops up a window where a “hidden” list of links is generated. Looks like this:

As i said, theres an invisible linklist inside the window. It contains links to all the files that arent “par2″ files and arent “autounrar”. Then it adds the first par2 file (the smallest one) to this list as well.
So you end up with a fine list containing eg. *.rar and 1 small par2 file to do verification (if youre into to that sorta stuff) :).
Rightclicking (as youre told) and clicking the “FlashGot all” starts your download manager. Mine is FDM. Like this:

Makes it a hell of a lot easier downloading large stuff.

Thanks for the script , only , i can’t get it to work.
i have j script allowed , i get the flashgot link on the parpage , i can only open the link in a new tab , the link is empty, popups are allowed.
anything obvious i am missing ?
thanks, lin
Hi lin.
I have 2 friends running the same script, so there must be something specific in your setup. Lets see if we can figure out what it is :)
It has been tested (and works) on:
- Ubuntu Linux & Windows XP.
- Firefox 2.0.0.8 & 2.0.0.9 (both with popups DISallowed)
- Greasemonkey 0.7.20070607.0 (circa)
Running anything very different from this?
Also. You say you can only open in a tab. How? Do you right click, then “open in new tab”?
(also, what is showed in the new tab you open?)
You MUST left click, since the popup window is generated by javascript and doesnt really “exists”. Using any other way of opening the link causes the javascript not to be run.
Looking forward to hearing from you. :)

Hi dan ,thanks for your response ;i have xp sp2 /firefox 2.0.0.9 /Greasemonkey 0.7.20070607.0. i switched off most extensions
” You say you can only open in a tab. How? Do you right click, then “open in new tab”?(also, what is showed in the new tab you open?) ” i had tabmix+ active and set to open links in a new tab, i switched off tabmix+ now.
The flashgot link points to the same url as the original parpage , is this right ?
If i disable MDI the link doesn’t react at all.
cheers Lin
Seems like your setup should just work.. Strange.
Well.. the link doesnt point anywhere (since theres no real page to point to). In reality, all that its pointing to is “#”. (so yes, hovering the mouse over the link will show current page’s url)
In the userscript, theres a function that knows how to, magically, make a window appear. The link is only used as a “button” to start this window-making function. So the script makes this function “listen” for a click on that specific dummy link, and when clicked, it starts the “window-maker”.
I would imagine that an extension like Tab Mix also tries to do some “magic” on the links and that might conflict with this script.
Whats MDI?
Try this:
go to easynews and get ready to open the par-viewer. (but dont do it yet)
go to “Functions->Error Console”, click the “Clear” button, then click the “Errors” button.
Enter the par-viewer, check the Error Console for any errors.
Click the FlashGot link. Check the Error Console again.
Post any errors found here and when the errors appeared (before/after clicking “flashgot”).
MDI = multiple document interface, an opera term i think ,same as multiple windows in firefox.
No errors in the console………..
if i get time i’ll do a fresh FF install , i think i can run several profiles , although i remember doing this in the past gave some profilemanager problems, i can always make an image first ,put it back when things break.
Lin
Yeah.. A fresh profile sounds like it might be worth a try. I have no idea what could be the problem, except conflicts with other extensions maybe.
I am very interested to know if you learn something, so let me know :)
I installed a new profile with just flashgot and greasemonkey , still no go, so i guess i’ll have to do without , thanks for your help anyway Dan.
Lin
Hah.. I just noticed… The link at the bottom of the page DOESNT work.. The one in the top does.. Were you using the bottom one?
I am using the top link
